Celebrating the Holiday Season with Hubble: A very special Advent calendar

The first Hubble window

Perfectly in tune with the season, the Boston Globe presents a very special Advent calendar on its photo blog. Instead of opening creaking little doors or lighting candles, readers are treated to a new, fascinating image from space each day. Alan Taylor of the Boston Globe showcases daily photographs taken by the Hubble Space Telescope. Some are recent, others older, but all are accompanied by detailed and insightful explanations.

If the wait for Christmas feels a little too long, the Hubble Advent calendar is well worth a visit. It can also be subscribed to via RSS. A wonderful idea, in my opinion.

Haas Schleifmaschinen and Hubble

As some of you may know, we at Haas Schleifmaschinen have a special connection to Hubble. For us, the space telescope symbolises curiosity, a spirit of exploration and a passion for innovation. The same qualities that drive us every day in grinding technology. That is why we chose Hubble as the visual guiding theme for our Multigrind® CB.

With this in mind, we wish you a wonderful Advent season and a successful end of the year.
