Counterbore (Spiral Countersink)

  • Counterbore (Spiral Countersink)

Counterbores (spiral countersinks) are used to selectively enlarge the diameter of existing holes or to combine multiple machining steps within a single hole. They are designed with one to four cutting edges and operate based on pre-drilled holes that already provide most of the final diameter. Cutting parameters are typically aligned with standard drilling processes, such as those used with HSS drills.
