Until now, inserts were fixed and clamped using PV holders. Processing with the expanding mandrel clamping system developed by Adelbert Haas results in impressive production advantages. Clamping at the reference point of the bore increases the precision of the profile during grinding. The peripheral geometries of the insert can now also be machined in the same clamping operation.

The expanding mandrel clamping system accommodates different insert thicknesses and fixes them more securely and more stably than a conventional PV holder. Faster changeover times and greater flexibility are additional benefits. Very exciting.
