Process competence is competitiveness.
Successful Basic Training on the Multigrind® Horizon.
After two intensive days of training, numerous participants successfully completed the Multigrind® Horizon Basic Training today. Their strong commitment and active participation demonstrated just how important process knowledge is in modern grinding technology. More than ever, one principle holds true: Process competence is competitiveness.
Two days dedicated to fundamentals, hands-on practice, and process understanding
The two-day training course focused on providing participants with a confident introduction to Multigrind® Horizon. Attendees explored the concept and basic operation of the grinding software in depth, gaining valuable insights into key settings and options. Another major focus was the configuration of the tool database, as well-maintained tool data is essential for stable processes, reproducible results, and reliable NC code calculations.
From the Grinding Process to the NC Code
In addition, participants were given practical training on how to program grinding processes in Multigrind® Horizon. Step by step, they learned how a machining task is transformed into a structured grinding process, all the way through to the subsequent generation of NC code. The training also covered process corrections and troubleshooting. In day-to-day production, the ability to reliably identify deviations, narrow down root causes, and take targeted corrective action is essential.
Know-How as a Genuine Competitive Advantage
The past two days have once again demonstrated a key truth: High-performance machines and advanced software can only reach their full potential when they are operated by skilled and knowledgeable people. Those who understand grinding processes are able to ensure quality, work more efficiently, reduce downtime, and respond more quickly to changing requirements. That is precisely what creates a genuine competitive advantage.
Successful Completion
With the successful completion of the Basic Training, the participants have established an important foundation for using Multigrind® Horizon more confidently and effectively in their daily work. Their commitment, thoughtful questions, and genuine interest made this training a valuable contribution to greater confidence and expertise in everyday grinding operations.
Process competence is competitiveness. And it begins with people who are willing to continuously develop their knowledge and skills.
